Why buy local?

We believe local is always better…

The majority of flowers you buy in a grocery store are not grown in the US. Currently, 80% are grown overseas with the majority of them grown in South America. These are usually grown with the use of harsh chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides, and the farms sometimes have very poor labor conditions. Additionally, by the time you buy them at the store, they can be as much as a week old, causing quality and vase life to decline.

By buying local flowers and food, you are saying no to harsh chemicals, exploitative labor practices, and carbon emissions from shipping long distances. Most flowers shipped are bred to handle being out of water for several days and varieties are limited because of this.

Our flowers are cleaner, more whimsical, and are a more long-lasting alternative to traditional flowers. They are seasonal with a large variety of flowers you may have never seen before. We harvest our flowers fresh several times a week so they last longer for you in the vase. They are grown without dangerous chemicals so you (and the local pollinators) can freely bury your face in them as nature intended.

We love growing flowers for you!
